Specs

Newsletter and website advertisements are square: provide a graphic at least 1000 pixels x 1000 pixels.

Instagram advertisements ("story" posts) are vertical rectangles. A full-size Instagram story is 1920 pixels tall x 1080 pixels wide. However, The 51st requires 200 pixels of vertical space to add the hyperlink associated with your promotion and to clearly label the graphic as an advertisement for our audience. The customer may:

  • incorporate that amount of empty space within a full 1920 pixels x 1080 pixels design;
  • or provide a 1720 pixels x 1080 pixels graphic that The 51st can place your link and our disclaimer outside of, while still within Instagram's display area.
  • *Instagram story posts can also use a square graphic. It does not maximize the space, but this is a simple option if you wish to advertise on multiple platforms while only designing one graphic.
