Free DC and National Tax Strike are joining University of the District of Columbia's Tax Clinic for an advanced training on how to meaningfully change what you're withholding tax-wise. This session is designed to get into the nitty gritty for salaried workers, hourly workers, self-employed folks, and other specific situations. It's recommended that you already attended one of the Slow Taxes 101 sessions prior to this advanced clinic. RSVP here.

Free DC's Ward 1 team will be focusing this month on the increasing National Guard presence in the city, and how we can respond when it's our street being patrolled. The meeting will feature an interactive training on handling encounters with guard members. If you're new to Free DC, you're encouraged to attend a campaign orientation first. The next one is happening virtually on Sunday, August 9, at 2 p.m.
